I would like to extend deep appreciation
to the voters of the 20th Representative District. Special thanks to those who participated in my truly grassroots campaign,
by making phone calls, writing letters, walking door to door with me, distributing literature, hosting "meet and greets,"
and working at the polls on Election Day.
The
economic, environmental and educational issues raised during the campaign have not gone away. Our state legislature must take
steps to solve practical problems such as inadequate public ransportation and a scarcity of medical professionals. All of
us must insist on equitable school funding, better cell phone and Internet service for students, small business owners and
farmers, improved and safer roads (especially Route 1), more occupational choices at Sussex Tech, flood control projects and
adequate state funding for the new Lewes Library.
I
will continue to work in a positive manner to build a future with a stronger economy, a sensible approach to growth and a
commitment to preserve our natural environment. Let us make our beautiful corner of Southern Delaware an even better place
to live, work, raise our families and retire. Our future will be brighter when we continue to move forward together.
Thank You, Marie
